The girls volleyball season hits the ground running once tryouts are completed August 3rd, so if you have made one of the teams in the program, below are some important dates/activities that will be coming up quickly:
Friday, July 31, Saturday, August 1, & Monday, August 3 = tryouts
Tuesday, August 4 = first official practice for all 3 teams (practice shirts will be distributed and program paperwork will be collected) from 6:45am-8:45am (@ San Diego Volleyball Club)
Wednesday, August 5 = Varsity's first scrimmage @ 6:30 vs Classical Academy (at Patrick Henry)
Thursday, August 6 = parent meeting from 6pm-7pm in Coach Ambort's classroom (N6-104)
Friday, August 7 = Varsity's 2nd scrimmage @ 4pm (ShinDig at Escondido High School)
Sunday, August 9 = program Team Store closes at 11:59pm
Monday, August 10 = Varsity's 3rd scrimmage @ LJCD
Tuesday, August 11 = program's first bonding event at the Mission Bay Aquatics Center (4pm-7pm)
Wednesday, August 12 = 5-team scrimmage for all 3 teams @ 4:30pm (Varsity @ Poway / JV @ RB / Freshmen @ Scripps)
Friday, August 14 = 6-team scrimmage for JV and Freshmen @ 4pm (JV @ Del Norte / Freshmen @ Westview)
Friday-Saturday, August 14-15 = Varsity's first tournament (out-of-county at Tesoro High School)
Monday, August 17 = Team Pictures at 4pm (@ Poway for JV & Freshmen with Varsity location TBD)
Friday, August 18 = 2nd program bonding event (JV-hosted dinner and Escape Room)
Wednesday, August 26 = 1st official match of the year @ Helix
Friday-Saturday, August 28-29 = Varsity's second tournament (out-of-county in Las Vegas)
Saturday, September 5 = JV's and Freshmen's first tournaments with our own Titan Invitationals (at Alliant University) where JV & Freshmen teams play and Varsity team/parents work the event
